Based on a similar design as our Allegro Unbalanced Interconnects, our audiophile Phono Interconnects are an answer for our customers that want the same exceptional interconnect performance that our unbalanced IC's provide but in a format fit for the vinyl lover and their turntables and tonearms.

Given that the signal a typical Moving Magnet or Moving Coil phono cartridge outputs when tracing the grooves on a record album is minute in size compared to that of a line level signal output from say, a CD player, preamp, DAC, etc., that tiny, fragile signal is susceptible to even more noise and disturbance if not cared for properly by a very high quality interconnect cable. With the highly shielded and grounded Allegro Phono cables offered in either 5-Pin DIN to RCA -or- RCA to RCA configurations, that tiny phono-level signal is preserved, cared for and transported unimpeded from tonearm to preamp. You and your vinyl collection will appreciate the full frequency, low noise capability and flexible grounding option (via discreet ground wire to assist in eliminating ground hum) that the Allegro Phono Interconnects can bring to your cherished vinyl playback system.

Allegro Phono specific interconnect sets are provided with a choice of two different connector termination options:

1. ViaBlue 24k Gold Plated slip on RCA connectors on one end and 5-pin straight barrel DIN on the tonearm end
   
2. ViaBlue 24k Gold Plated slip on RCA connectors on both ends
   

Our straight barrel DIN connector will fit any of the common tonearm designs utilizing the 5-pin DIN design such as Ortofon, Jelco, SME and others. The DIN plug at it's widest is 16.25mm in diameter and will fit through most all tonearm mounting plates / collars. Right angle DIN connectors are available by special order. All of the Allegro Phono Cables, regardless of connector options come equipped with an integrated ground wire with spade lug for attaching to ground screws/terminals at the preamplifier end if needed.
